Another leak regarding the alleged OnePlus Watch 3 has surfaced, revealing the design of OnePlus’s new smartwatch. The wearable has been spotted at a certification authority, providing initial insights into its features.
New Clues About the OnePlus Watch 3
This week, the Oppo Watch X, a nearly identical version of the OnePlus Watch 2 (starting at 299 euros at OnePlus), was officially launched in Europe, bringing the release of OnePlus’s next model closer. Recently, a new wearable with the model number OPWW234 appeared at a certification authority. Now, there are further indications pointing towards the OnePlus Watch 3.
Certification and First Images of the OnePlus Watch 3
The supposed OnePlus Watch 3 has appeared at another certification authority. After being listed under the mentioned model number at the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Indian Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and TÜV Rheinland, it is now also listed at TENAA. The entry there even provides the first image of the smartwatch. The image shows a round watch with two buttons on the right side and a visually prominent bezel. Overall, it resembles the black OnePlus Watch 2.
Features of the OnePlus Watch3
The TENAA entry also provides new information about the smartwatch’s features. The wearable comes with Bluetooth, GPS, BeiDou, and GLONASS, as well as NFC and Wi-Fi. Previous leaks had already revealed a 500 mAh battery with 10 W charging speed and eSIM support. These features make the OnePlus Watch 3 an interesting upgrade over the previous model.
Operating System and Additional Specifications
If the smartwatch with the model number OPWW234 is indeed the successor to the OnePlus Watch 2, it is expected to run Wear OS as its operating system again. The current model offers impressive battery life thanks to its large battery and dual-chip system, as our test shows. It remains to be seen when the new wearable will be officially unveiled and if it will indeed be called the OnePlus Watch 3.
