Garmin has announced a new software update version 21.19 for its popular Forerunner series, including the 965, 955, 265, 255, and 165 models. The update is currently being rolled out to 50% of users, but can be manually downloaded by navigating to Menu > System > Software Update > Check For Updates.

- Automated Fitness Metrics: The device can now automatically estimate Lactate Threshold and Function Threshold Power after training sessions with heart rate or power data.
- Garmin Coach Strength Training: Users can access and follow personalized strength training plans directly on their Garmin device, making it easier to incorporate strength training into their fitness routine.
In addition to these new features, the update also addresses a number of bug fixes and performance improvements, including:
- Resolving issues with daily suggested workouts, timer sounds, Android smart notifications, heart rate spikes, navigation map icons, activity color settings, custom workouts, heart rate glance, sleep tracking, weather glance, sleep mode, and triathlon activity profiles.
