Enhanced Notifications and Accessibility

One of the standout additions in OTA 7 is the enhanced notification system. Now, your smartwatch can not only display notifications but also read them aloud through the Zepp Flow app. This feature is especially beneficial for those who prefer auditory feedback or have visual impairments.

Moreover, the update introduces the ability to create calendar events directly from notifications. Simply tap on a relevant alert, and the assistant will guide you through the process.

Fitness Tracking and Navigation

For fitness enthusiasts, OTA 7 brings a new HYROX Race activity mode. This feature allows you to track individual, double, and team events with precision.

Navigation has also been improved with turn-by-turn prompts, path deviation alerts, and support for contour maps. These enhancements make it easier to explore new routes and stay on track.

Improved Sleep Tracking and Other Optimizations

The update also includes refinements to the sleep algorithm, resulting in more accurate measurements of sleep stages. Additionally, countdown timers on your Balance smartwatch are now ordered by recency, and you’ll receive automated reminders when your device is fully charged.

Rollout Details

The Amazfit Balance OTA 7 update is currently being rolled out to users in the United States and China. Customers in other regions can expect to receive the firmware starting from September 18th, although this timeline may vary.
